File Name, Description and Year
To help you navigate to the right file when you are in My Data mode, we prompt you to give each file a unique label (name) along with a brief overview of its contents (description). There are no instructions with regards to the name or description of the file, just name it so that it’s memorable for you. You should then be able to view each file’s name as soon as you access My Data. To view the file description, you simply select the file you want to view and the description will pop up in the description box (above the list of files).
The last piece of supplementary information that you are asked to add is the year. This is an indication of the year the data were collected. It is meant to function as a point of reference when comparing your uploaded data with our own. In other words, the year will ensure that you will not be unintentionally comparing two measurements made in different years.
To make the most out of our History and Prediction feature, we ask you to upload data with similar measurements taken within (a minimum of) 3 consecutive years. For example, you could upload files containing Air Pollution measurements taken in 2018-2019-2020, that will help us provide you with an overview of how the air quality around a particular postcode / asset has evolved in the years specified.
