Planning permission for new primary and community health facilities, including residential care accommodation will be granted in appropriate locations, subject to other policies in the Plan, and where proposals meet the following criteria:-
- There is adequate car parking for staff, residents and visitors, in accordance with the Council’s Car Parking Standards set out in Appendix Three;
- They do not give rise to significant environmental and amenity problems, especially in residential areas with regard to noise, and they meet the criteria set out in the Council’s Development Control Guidelines, where appropriate;
- Their location on the highway network does not give rise to significant problems relating to traffic flow and highway safety.
