Within the built up area, planning permission will normally be granted for new local shopping centres, expansion to existing local shopping centres and individual shops providing there is no serious loss of residential amenity. Planning permission will only be given subject to the proposal satisfactorily fulfilling the criteria set out in Policy BAS SH10.
