NE06: Allotments and Community Food Growing Space

The provision of allotment space should, where possible and appropriate, be an integral part of the green and blue infrastructure provision in residential development.

Provision of areas for personal and community gardening and food growing will be favourably considered.

The change of use or development of designated allotment sites will not be permitted unless it can be demonstrated that provision is no longer required or that an alternative provision can be provided.
