Policy 100 Markets

The Council will seek to ensure the continuance of existing markets in the Borough and encourage proposals for new markets where:

  • there would be no adverse disturbance to residential amenities; and adequate access is provided for servicing, and
  • they make a positive contribution to the vitality and viability of the Town Centre.
