Policy 63 Development Related to Farm Diversification

Development related to farm diversification schemes will be permitted where:

  • There is evidence that the wider benefits of farm diversification contribute to the very special circumstances required by Policy 50;
  • The scheme proposed preserves the openness of the Green Belt and does not conflict with the purposes of including land in it; and
  • There is no harm to the retail viability of nearby shops or to existing rural businesses.
