CH12: North of Bonney Grove

Land north of Bonney Grove is allocated for comprehensive residential redevelopment, subject to the following requirements:

  • relocation of the V&E sports Club to a suitable alternative location;
  • approximately 100 homes, 40% of which should be affordable;
  • development in accordance with a comprehensive masterplan; and
  • suitable access arrangements from Goffs Lane.

Should a suitable relocation site for the V&E Club not be agreed by all relevant parties within two years of the date of adoption of this Plan, the Council will consider favourably proposals for a stand-alone residential development at Bonney Grove Field subject to the following requirements:

  • approximately 40 homes, 40% of which should be affordable;
  • appropriate mitigations to ensure compatibility of new residential uses with adjacent outdoor sports activities; and
  • suitable access arrangements from Lieutenant Ellis Way.
