DSC9: Advertisements and Signs
Consent will not be given for advertisements that are harmful to visual amenity or public safety.
Particular regard will be had to the potential of the sign to distract motorists.
The number, size, position, siting, and illumination of advertisements, must respect the character and appearance of the immediate environment, and the design, scale, features and setting of the building.
Fascia signage on buildings should fit entirely within the fascia panel.
There will be a presumption against internal illumination of signs in conservation areas.
A cluster or proliferation of signs will not be permitted.
