ED3: Loss of Employment Uses - Rest of the Borough
Development which would cause the loss of an existing employment use, will only be permitted where all the following criteria are met:
- The retention of the site or premises for employment use has been fully explored without success, and that there is no reasonable prospect of the site/premises being suitable and viable for reuse or any alternative employment use in the medium term; or
- Continued use of the site for employment generating purposes is incompatible with surrounding land uses.
