1: Housing

Residential development shall provide a range of housing types, to meet a range of needs, as appropriate, related to the scale of the development.

This shall be achieved by:

  1. The provision of affordable, social, intermediate, and shared-ownership housing - in line with the 50% target as set out in the development plan.
  2. The provision of a range of different unit sizes, including three and four bedroom homes, where appropriate, suitable for families.
  3. The appropriate provision of homes for the elderly and disabled, which promote accessibility.
  4. The provision of homes which aim to meet or exceed national environmental standards and for zero-carbon homes.
