H3 Accessible Housing

Support and encourage the development of accessible housing and accommodation for older people and people with disabilities, by:

  1. supporting forms of housing which would encourage households to downsize while staying in the neighbourhood, such as co-housing and supported housing; and
  2. encouraging designs for new housing to provide for accessibility for older people and people with disabilities as well as meeting the general design requirements in Chapter 3.
