Residential development proposals are required to provide public open space, both for passive and active recreation unless the size of the development is too small to permit this. In such circumstances, contributions will be sought to maintain and enhance existing facilities/identified projects, in lieu of on-site facilities.

The extent of on-site provision and/or the level of contributions should be established by discussion with Central Bedfordshire Council.

Provision must adhere to the Local Standards as set out in Appendix C in terms of accessibility, quality and quantity.
