CF1: Community Facilities
Development proposals that will result in either the loss of or significant harm to a community facility will be strongly resisted, unless it can be clearly demonstrated that its continued use is no longer viable. This will require evidence that the property has been actively marketed, commensurate with its use, at an open market value for a period of at least 12 months. Facilities include;
- the Village Halls
- the public houses
Proposals to improve the viability of a community facility by way of the extension or partial replacement or redevelopment of buildings, structures and land, will be supported in principle. Where relevant and appropriate, regard should be had to the criteria set out in the first paragraph of Policy ND1 and those in Policy D1.
