H1: Development within the Settlement Envelope and Local Plan Allocations
Appropriate new development, including housing, will be supported on infill or redevelopment sites inside the settlement envelope, as shown on the Policies Map, where there is no adverse impact on existing residential, retail, employment and community uses. The Local Plan housing site allocation (reference HAS19) at The Pyghtle, off Shillington Road is also recognised and this is a committed new development site that now falls within the Settlement Envelope, as modified through the adopted Central Bedfordshire Local Plan.
Open space should be provided within new development to accord with the standards set by Central Bedfordshire in the Local Plan. Suitable arrangements must be made so that new on-site green spaces are to be provided to the Parish Council to own, administer and maintain with the cost for future maintenance included
