H2: Housing Mix and Affordability

In new residential developments of 5 dwellings or more, there should be a varied mix of house types and sizes which should include a proportion of smaller dwellings and homes suitable for the elderly.

Affordable homes provided, whether in larger schemes (10 or more dwellings) or through a rural exceptions scheme should include a range of size, type and tenures in accordance with the Local Plan requirements for affordable housing in conjunction with the Housing Needs Survey.
