As appropriate to their nature, location and scale, development proposals should be designed from inception to preserve the existing Green Infrastructure Network and to protect the Biodiversity and Green Infrastructure Network opportunities shown in Figure 6.1 and Figure 6.2. The aim should be the delivery of a net environmental benefit for local people and wildlife and the respect of the wider landscape value of the parish. In particular, proposals that seek to buffer and link existing wildlife rich areas and green spaces – for example the area around Moor Lane/Duck End Nature Reserve - will be supported.
