NP12: Protecting Natural Habitats
- The distinctive wildlife and habitat features, including designated sites, in the parish will be protected from any harmful impact arising from housing or commercial developments or change in land use
- Development proposals that would incur the loss or degradation of existing natural habitats will not be permitted unless an ecological survey is undertaken and mitigation measures to ensure that the integrity of the habitat continues after the implementation of the development and appropriate management and aftercare is secured
- Development proposals should seek to protect, and where practical and viable, improve and enhance the natural environment
