As appropriate to their scale and location, proposals for new developments should incorporate measures to provide mitigation, adaptation and resilience to the impacts of climate change by minimising the vulnerability of the development and its surroundings.

Developments which incorporate energy efficient solutions beyond building regulation standards will be particularly supported.
