DM14: Public Art
To enhance and express local character, the Council will support the inclusion of public art and require all major schemes to include public art that:
- Is integrated into proposals at an early stage of the design process;
- Enhances and creates local distinctiveness and reinforces a sense of place;
- Responds to local character;
- Makes a positive contribution to the public realm; and
- Engages the local community in its creation.
