82 Noisy Countryside Sports

The development of land for noisy countryside sport will not generally be accepted unless:

  • the site occupies unused or damaged land outside the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the most sensitive parts of Landscape Regions (see Policy 98 and Supplementary Planning Guidance ‘Landscape Character Assessment for Dacorum’);
  • there would be no disturbance (including any significant noise nuisance) to residential and similar sensitive areas;
  • there would be no damage to areas of ecological value;
  • the scale and nature of the activity respects the countryside setting and surrounding area; and
  • the safety of adjoining users is not prejudiced.
