7B Ealing Local Policy - Design Amenity
Planning Decisions
- New development must achieve a high standard of amenity for users and for adjacent uses by ensuring;
- high quality architecture
- good levels of daylight and sunlight
- good levels of privacy
- coherent development of the site
- appropriate levels of development on site
- positive visual impact
- legibility and accessibility
- External treatments, fittings and materials must complement the building and context and must not impair the visual amenity of surrounding uses.
- Extensions to existing development should ensure that the resulting development as a whole meets design standards.
