D5 Communications Infrastructure

  • The Council will promote enhanced digital connectivity throughout the District by supporting high speed broadband and telecommunication infrastructure. In particular, major development proposals should demonstrate how high speed broadband infrastructure will be accommodated within the development.
  • Applications for telecommunications development (including for prior approval under Part 16 of the General Permitted Development Order, or any other such future Order) will be considered in accordance with national planning policy. The visual impacts of telecommunications proposals should be minimised, particularly on rooftops/roof slopes.
