D6 Neighbourhood Planning

  • The Council will support the preparation and production of Neighbourhood Plans. Neighbourhood Plans should:
    1. show how they are contributing towards the strategic objectives of the Local Plan and that they are in general conformity with its strategic approach and policies;
    2. clearly set out how they will promote sustainable development at the same level or above that which would be delivered through the Local Plan; and
    3. be supported by evidence on local need for new homes, jobs and facilities.
