H11A Travelling Showpeople

The Council will not allow the development of any further “winter quarters” for travelling showpeople in the district unless the applicants are able to demonstrate, to the satisfaction of the Council, that:

  1. there is a demonstrable local need for this facility which cannot be met elsewhere; and
  2. the proposed development would not lead to an excessive adverse effect upon the character and appearance of the Green Belt.
