H5A Provision for Affordable Housing

On all suitable development sites the Council will seek an appropriate number and type of affordable dwellings. Suitability will be based upon:

  1. the overall level, nature and distribution of housing need in the district;
  2. the size and characteristics of the site;
  3. the type of affordable housing required and the type of dwellings proposed on the site;
  4. the dispersal of any affordable housing throughout the site;
  5. the nature of any adjacent housing; and
  6. the proximity of the site to public transport and accessibility to facilities.
