H8A Availability of Affordable Housing in Perpetuity

New affordable housing will be required to be subject to:

  1. it being available only to those households who would otherwise not be able to afford to rent or buy a dwelling of sufficient size on the open market in the district; and
  2. suitably secure arrangements to ensure that its provision is satisfactorily phased as part of the overall development and that agreements are in place to ensure the accommodation continues to meet the needs of such households beyond the first occupier.
