LL6 Partial development of urban open spaces

In granting planning permission for partial development of any area of urban open space (including those identified on the Proposals Map) the Council will need to be satisfied that:

  • the predominantly open nature of the remainder of the site is retained; and
  • the scheme provides for the appropriate management of the remainder of the site to enhance its:
    • visual importance; and/or
    • nature conservation interest; and/or
    • recreational potential.

Where the development involves playing fields, policy RST14 will also apply.
