RST16 Golf course location
Proposed golf courses and driving ranges should be located such that they:
- would not have an adverse effect upon the character or appearance of highly visible landscape;
- have safe and convenient access;
- would not involve works which could prevent the best and most versatile agricultural land from subsequently reverting back to agricultural use at its original quality;
- do not adversely affect Sites of Special Scientific Interest, Sites of Importance for Nature Conservation or other sites of ecological value; and
- have regard to both the availability of water resources for irrigation and the protection of water quality.
