U3A Catchment Effects
The Council will not permit development which would result in either:
- increased risk of flooding or a reduction in the effectiveness of existing flood defence measures, either on site or elsewhere within the catchment; or
- significant adverse effects upon a watercourse, navigable waterway or sewerage infrastructure,
unless it is satisfied that adequate and appropriate attenuation measures, such that there is no increase in the risk of flooding, are incorporated as part of the development.
