8 - Non-Nuclear Very Low-Level and Low-Level Radioactive Waste
Proposals for the management of non-nuclear low-level and very low-level radioactivewaste will be permitted where:
- a requirement to manage waste arising from within Essex and Southend-on-Sea has been identified; and
- the proposed development (including landfill) has been demonstrated to be the most appropriate and acceptable development in relation to the Waste Hierarchy, and;
- the proposal would not cause any unacceptable adverse impacts to the environment, human health or local amenity.
