CS10: Physical and Social Infrastructure

5.4.11 Support will be given to proposals and activities that protect, retain or enhance existing physical and social infrastructure, or lead to the provision of additional infrastructure that improves community well-being. Where there is the threat of loss of existing infrastructure, consideration will be given to viability and whether sufficient alternative provision is available.

5.4.12 Where new development leads to the need for new or improved physical or social infrastructure, developers will be required to provide or contribute towards this subject to viability considerations. Such infrastructure will be put in place in a timely manner to support new development. All new development should make the most efficient use of new and existing infrastructure.
