IM(a) Impact on the Road Network
When planning transport provision for major developments and extensive sites where comprehensive development can take place, developers should have regard to:
- The road hierarchy
- Building into highways networks speed management and design criteria for speeds no greater than 20 mph; and
- Incorporating appropriate traffic calming measures and encouraging residential roads to be designed as shared spaces.
