ENP-C6: Schools

Proposals for new developments, refurbishment or extensions to improve the educational facilities at St. Lawrence Primary School, the Howard of Effingham School and St. Teresa’s School on their existing sites will be supported, subject to Green Belt policies. Where proposals are not consistent with Green Belt policies, very special circumstances must be demonstrated.

Proposals which may lead to an increase in pupil numbers must:

  • Be accompanied by a Transport Plan which seeks to maximise the use of sustainable modes of transport.
  • Include measures to improve the existing provision for parking on site to reduce the impact on nearby roads and residents.
