P-BE2 - Backland and Infill Development

Backland and infill development will only be permitted where the following apply:

  • It can be demonstrated that the proposal:
    • is of an appropriate scale and mass
    • respects the local context and surrounding pattern of development in terms of density and plot width
    • retains appropriate separation between buildings
    • retains appropriate garden space for adjacent dwellings
  • And where the proposal would avoid an unacceptable impact on:
    • The character and appearance of the Puttenham Conservation Area
    • The amenity of neighbours
    • Parking and traffic congestion in the area
    • Loss of trees and biodiversity
