P-BE4 - Puttenham Conservation Area
Development proposals should be designed to a high quality and should preserve and enhance the character and appearance of the Puttenham Conservation Area and its setting, retaining those buildings and other features, including the areas trees and woodland, which make a significant contribution to the character of the Conservation Area and itssetting.
Development proposals that cause harm to the character and appearance of the Conservation Area and/or its setting will not be permitted unless justified through public benefits that demonstrably outweigh the harm.
Any development proposals within or affecting the Puttenham Conservation Area should demonstrate how it will preserve and enhance the character and appearance of the Puttenham Conservation Area and/or its setting, as defined in the Puttenham Conservation Area Appraisal, and should be supported by information which identifies the significance of the heritage asset and demonstrates how points (1) and (2) have beenmet.
