DM26: Critical Drainage Areas

  • All proposals for new development within a Critical Drainage Area (CDA) will be required to incorporate measures to reduce the overall level of flood risk in the CDA.
  • Proposals for new development within Local Flood Risk Zones must include a statement describing how flood risk issues have been addressed. The Council may require a further site-specific Flood Risk Assessment to assess risk, particularly from surface water flooding.
