DM54: Facilitating Telecommunications Development
The Council will promote the development of advanced, high quality communications infrastructure to support economic growth and more accessible, inclusive communities. This will be achieved by requiring new development proposals to:
- Be designed in such a way as to be capable of facilitating delivery of high speed broadband technology;
- Demonstrate how they will improve communications infrastructure in areas of poor broadband connectivity, as identified in Haringey’s Infrastructure Delivery Plan, including through connection of the development to a nearby trunk network; and
- Deliver “ultrafast” connections in Regeneration Areas; and
- Be designed to meet the requirements of Policy DM3.
