EWC1: Development Strategy
Development proposals in the Elstree Way Corridor (as defined by the EWC Policies Map) should:
- Provide safe, sustainable and convenient access across the Elstree Way Corridor through walking, cycling and public transport, ensuring that access caters for the needs of those with limited mobility and other impairments, such as reduced sight or hearing;
- Be of a high quality design that contributes to improvements in the quality of the townscape by adhering to the design policies in the AAP;
- Be planned in such a way that it is consistent with the proposed highways and public realm improvements (Appendix 4);
- Provide an appropriate level of Affordable Housing in accordance with Core Strategy Policy CS4.
