DMT 7: Freight
Development proposals that generate a high number and/or intensity of transport and movements such as those relating to logistics and distribution or freight will be required to demonstrate that:
- they are conveniently located to enable direct routing to the strategic road network; and
- there is no deleterious impact on residential areas, local air quality levels, local amenity or the highway network.
The Council will in principle support the use of the Blue Ribbon Network for rail and freight transport subject to compliance with other policies of this Local Plan.
