EC5 Retention of Ecological Features and Creation of New Habitats

In determining planning applications the local planning authority may require certain on-site ecological features to be retained in new developments and seek to enhance the nature conservation and ecological interest of sites or create new habitats through the use of planning conditions attached to planning permissions or through planning agreements negotiated with developers.
