LE4 Loss of Existing Industrial Floorspace or Land Outside Designated Industrial and Business Areas
Proposals which involve the loss of existing industrial floorspace or land outside designated industrial and business areas will normally only be permitted if:
- The existing use seriously affects amenity, through disturbance to neighbours, visual intrusion or an adverse impact in the character of an area; or
- The site is unsuitable for industrial redevelopment because of the size, shape, location or lack of vehicular access; or
- There is no realistic prospect of the land being used for industrial and warehousing purposes in the future; or
- They are in accordance with the council’s regeneration policies for an area.
