H8 Self-build and Custom Housebuilding

  • Proposals including Self-build and Custom build unit(s) must:
    1. meet an identified need for self-build or custom housebuilding as identified on the Islington self-build and custom housebuilding register;
    2. make the most efficient use of land, optimising the number of residential unit(s) and level of density that would be expected given the site size, context and layout;
    3. provide high quality homes in line with Policy H4;
    4. provide affordable housing in line with Policy H3 (either on-site or off-site contribution depending on proposed number of net additional homes); and
    5. comply with other relevant policies including sustainable design policies.
