N2: Roofs
To ensure that roof alterations and additions are harmonious to the character and appearance of the building and its context, changes will only be permitted:
- for pitched without parapets where they restore the original composition and avoid the use of dormers or other unpleasant alterations;
- for low-pitched or roofs behind parapets when the dominance of the parapet is retained;
- for roof gardens and terraces where they are set back from the building line take into account longer distance views and are designed to be sensitive to uninterrupted rooflines.
