IMP 4 Facilitating Delivery

The Council will support the sustainable growth of the Borough and the targeted approach of the Core Strategy whilst ensuring that infrastructure can be provided through the following mechanisms:

  • as landowner, the Council has an opportunity to consider how its decisions on the future use of its sites can support the vision and policies in the Core Strategy, and maximise the use of land and buildings through the Council’s Asset Review
  • Area Action Plans will be prepared to deliver key proposals where necessary
  • the co-location of facilities will be welcomed where this will meet greater infrastructure needs and in order to increase public access
  • the Infrastructure Delivery Plan and Schedule will be reviewed and updated to ensure that there is commitment to delivery from infrastructure providers
