LTC12 Conversion of existing buildings

The Council will encourage the conversion of existing buildings such as vacant offices or premises above shops for residential purposes provided that:

  • a high quality living environment can be provided,
  • there is no conflict with existing land uses,
  • the proposal complies with policy LTC11 (employment uses),
  • the proposal meets demonstrated local housing need,
  • provision can be made for refuse and cycle storage.
