LTC26 Implementation

The Council will implement the LTCLP by working with public, voluntary, community and private sector partners and co-ordinating action, including:

  • engaging in pre-application discussions with prospective developers,
  • using the Lewisham Design Panel or a site specific design panel to help secure high quality design,
  • requiring planning applications to address the LTCLP’s vision, objectives and policies,
  • managing its own assets to facilitate appropriate development,
  • where appropriate using its compulsory purchase powers,
  • implementing the Infrastructure Delivery Plan, Local Implementation Plan and Borough Investment Plan,
  • partnership working,
  • securing appropriate sources of funding,
  • working with Thames Water to deliver water supply and sewerage infrastructure.
