BNE28 Farm Diversification
Development related to farm diversification will be permitted when the development:
- will not harm rural character or amenity; and
- helps to maintain agriculture as the main land use on the farm holding; and
- the design and scale of development is appropriate to its rural surroundings; and
- is sustainable in terms of traffic generation and accessibility to a choice of modes of transport.
A farm strategy statement will be sought which demonstrates that agriculture will remain the principal land use.
