ED15 Self-Catering Accommodation

With the exception of Woolmans Wood caravan park, proposals which would result in the loss of existing selfcatering tourist accommodation or touring caravan and camping sites will not be permitted, unless there is a proposal to relocate within the locality.

Proposals for new facilities will be permitted provided it can be demonstrated that :

  1. the scale of development would not adversely affect local amenity, nature conservation interests or be an intrusive element in the surrounding landscape; and
  2. the local highway network is capable of supporting the scale of development proposed; and
  3. the facilities associated with the development are of a design and scale in keeping with the locality.
