H4 Housing in Urban Areas

Within the urban area, as defined on the proposals map, residential development will be permitted consisting of:

  1. the use of vacant or derelict land or the change of use or redevelopment of existing buildings no longer required for non-residential use; or
  2. the redevelopment of existing residential areas and infilling in such areas (providing that a clear improvement in the local environment will result); or
  3. mixed commercial and residential uses in proximity to town centres; or
  4. the use of upper floors above commercial premises.
