Policy aim

Seek to minimise pollutants and to reduce concentrations to levels that have minimal adverse effects on people, the natural and physical environment in Merton.

Policy

To minimise pollutants, development:

  • Should be designed to mitigate against its impact on air, land, light, noise and water both during the construction process and lifetime of the completed development.
  • Individually or cumulatively, should not result in an adverse impact against human or natural environment.
